Click to transform easily results in failure

Did you transform?

Only if you’re from the Transformer movie.

Whenever I hear the word 'transformation,' I remember the movie 'Transformers.'

With the click of a button, the car transforms into a robot.

The idea stuck with many. When you try to transform, there is a high expectation to turn into whatever you wish for in seconds, hours, or days.

You're not superhuman, neither am I. That's the fallacy.

This is the expectation in the business and health categories.

The only transformation that can happen quickly is a change in perspective.

It can come from a book you read, a movie you watched, or listening to someone's thoughts.

Transformation is a drastic change. It implies a fundamental, dramatic, and complete change in nature, character, or form.

Departure from the existing state into something new and different.

You can transform your:

  • Business model

  • Skills

  • Mental models

  • Health

  • Lifestyle

  • Relationships

It can be anything, you believe needs to change. You're not happy about it, you're bored of it, or it has gotten old.

Today's transformation is like replacing a Porsche's engine with a Toyota's engine and expecting it to race.

The problem with implementing a drastic change for a certain thing is doing so without considering and changing its surrounding environment. This is why transformations fail.

Businesses transform by replacing old technology with newer technology, expecting this will get them ahead.

This sudden change without prior preparation and nurturing its enviroment. will lead to failure.

You're not superhuman, and neither are businesses capable of transforming overnight.

Whenever you change something or take action. you expect positive results. We're wired that way. but you won’t see what you expect in mind. I am not encouraging you to be pessimistic.

But transformation requires others to transform as well, and it takes time—for the skill you want to master, for the business you want to build.

Everything foreign to us takes time. Besides time, we need to understand what else we need to work on to achieve a complete transformation.

If you decide to change your body, lift weights, and build muscle mass, you will go through a transition period.

You start by cutting out junk food, eating healthy, training daily, taking supplements, and sleeping early—quitting quite a lot of bad habits.

Note the other things you need to consider.

You go through a transitioning period, then you reach transformation. Over time, you achieve where you aspire to be. When people see you, they will praise your transformation.

But if you don't see the results you have in mind, you think you've failed and quit. This happens when you only lift weights.

So is the case for businesses and companies. who have been sleeping running old business models. old resources and talents. old systems and technology. old way of marketing. everything is just outdated.

They bring new systems and technologies and expecting to live a drastic transformation.

But it often results in total failure.

Where are all the old components from this transformation? These components are an integral part.

If you want to see successful transformation, first you need to consider and identify what in your environment must transform along with the core.

Secondly, you need to transition—a gradual shift or movement from one state or condition to another.

You have to understand what it means to transform. Design what your needs are in every area.

From talents and skills to processes, business models, marketing, sales, operations, and so on.

Everything should be in harmony towards the shift.

Transitioning is the key to success in transformation.

Transformation is the complete picture; transitioning is the process that pieces together the complete picture

Identify those components that need to transition in order to support a successful transformation.

Unfortunately, many consulting firms promise to transform legacy businesses, but most fail to deliver.

When pursuing transformation in life or business, transitioning involves identifying and changing all necessary factors to fully support the desired change.

It's about adjusting habits, processes, skills, resources, and culture to align with transformational goals effectively.
