Planning deliver shattered outcomes
You should stop planning in business
Planning is misused in business approaches.
You begin your business strategy with pen and paper.
Draw boxes, fill them with words, and connect the steps with arrows.
Planning joy → boosts confidence in making decisions.
Coordinating a set of assumptions → blurry direction.
My definition of planning is that you only plan once you find out:
- Facts
- Needs
- Barriers
- Impacts
- Priorities
- Evidence…etc.
Once you have the relevant elements ready for your specific scenario:
Start planning—project delivery, resources, and budget.
Identifying the key elements will:
1. Make planning steps attainable.
2. Ensure effective resource utilization.
3. Align teams with clear responsibilities.
Planning is never the first act of action; it coordinates the necessary set of actions.
Do you know what pre-work is needed before planning?
P.S. I'm building a business strategy tool that uses real-time trends to help companies like yours discover new opportunities and stay ahead—based on your industry, size, and region.
It also provides a clear roadmap, required resources, and actionable steps.
