Most strategists fail at strategy
Most carpenters succeed at what they do.
Why?
The former plan without design.
The latter design, then plan.
A carpenter first understands the space where the cabinet will be installed, measuring size, corners, and constraints, and asks users what they want.
That information informs the design, which then guides planning and execution.
This is what many so-called strategists miss.
The irony? They’re still selling the wrong work.
What makes it worse: customers are still asleep.
Strategy is not a timeline plan.
It’s creative mental work, like lifting heavy rocks.
Have you asked how much has actually been achieved by planning the strategy?
