how some use design in a malicious way

Design was always near and dear to me

But over time, others exploit its noble goal

I saw how some use design in a malicious way:

- To benefit business more than the user
- To exploit and take advantage of others
- To control & make decisions for audience

Examples of malicious design in products:

1. Hard-to-cancel subscriptions
2. Fake urgency "Only 2 left in stock!"
3. Device pricing: Charging iPhone users more.

They used design not to empower, to manipulate.

My definition of design comes from years of experience and deep understanding.

1. Dive deep
2. Understand every layer
3. Solve real problems, with humans at the core.

The goal is clear: serving user first, then business goal.

Make user-centered, transparent choices, and you'll build trust — the most valuable asset any company can have.

What you don't accept for yourself, don’t accept for others.

P.S Have you had any experiences with deceptive design?
