Are you stuck on how to pick a business strategy?
Follow two steps I use to get right direction.
The choices you make today shape your tomorrow.
In the game of strategy, I’ve structured it into two main steps:
1. Making a choice (Martin Roger: strategy is a choice)
2. Designing the components of that choice
---
A- The way I see it, it starts with making a “grand strategy choice.”
This choice serves as your North Star—a constant reminder that everything you do must align with it.
But you must decide: What is the business area where you can truly win?.
---
B- The second part is designing your direction.
Figuring out what’s needed to make your grand strategy choice work.
That means understanding the skills, processes, tools, and opportunities required to deliver on that choice.
---
For example, you might choose one of the following:
- Improve an existing product / build a new one
- Strengthen your channels and form key partnerships
- Unlock a new customer segment and value proposition
You can’t choose everything—you have to decide what to do and what not to do.
This is your way to navigate the fog with calmness and clarity.
P.S: Rate how hard it is to make choices?
P.S.S I'm building a business strategy tool that uses real-time trends to help companies like yours discover new opportunities and stay ahead—based on your industry, size, and region.
It also provides a clear roadmap, required resources, and actionable steps.
